Doug McMonigle has been President of MRC Construction Co for the past 28 years. He graduated from Hephzibah High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati’s OMI College of Applied Science (OCAS) with a Bachelor in Architectural Engineering and a minor in Construction Management. He has dedicated his life to the construction industry. He’s the third generation of McMonigle’s to work in the Construction industry starting with his Grandfather, Douglas Warren McMonigle, then his Father James Douglas McMonigle whom he was in business within MRC Construction for 25 years. He’s past President of the Professional Construction Estimators Association (PCEA)-2001, past Chairman of the local Remodelers Council-2001, past President of the local Builders Association of Metro Augusta (BAMA)-2012, and past President of the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG)-2020. He is currently serving on the board of BAMA, HBAG, and the Leadership Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Under his leadership, MRC Construction Company was a finalist in 2009 for Small Business of the Year award given by The Augusta Chamber of Commerce. He has volunteered in various ways in the community over the years to include coaching boys & girls in recreation/ travel ball baseball/softball teams, school parent committees, school booster club treasurer, and many church building and property committees. He also served on the Richmond County Construction Advisory Committee as the Builder/Remodeler committee member for several years before moving to Columbia County. Mr. McMonigle is married to his wife Tammy McMonigle and has three children; Jessica, Kirsten, & Aaron with 2 dogs named Teddy & Duke. He leads his company by the mantra “Treat others how you’d like to be treated and to build/remodel/repair our clients home’s how you’d want your own home to be done.
